Billy`s Place at McDonough`s in Savannah

Unbelievably delicious. The bread! The service! We came on a Wednesday night. Slow as expected. You would think service and quality would be so-so. Not at all! I had duck that was amazing. Service spot on and food of high quality.

Great food. Great service. Great piano bar. Ambiance is cozy and intimate. We will be back.

Nice service, but food wasn't very good.

Food was GREAT but EXPERIENCE was AWFUL. Seated promptly then ignored by waitstaff for 20 minutes. Meal delivery took another 30 minutes. We were a partly of 4 and all the meals came out at different times. Then what was served was different than what was described on the menu and this was a major issue due to dietary restrictions one of us have.THEN, went to discuss situation with owner who was at the bar. He did not have the care or decency to speak with me. He did pick up the check.Go for the food and for the abuse if you can tolerate it.(and we were not the only party with issues....we were comparing abysmal experiences with neighboring table)

Very cool atmosphere. Great food and service

On vacation and in Savannah for one day and wanted to take my girlfriend to a nice dinner since we were going to a show at the theatre. We planned to go here and as we entered there were signs for the fine dining upstairs so they definitely could have put signs letting people know the restaurant would be closed for a private party. I own a restaurant in Arizona and the way we were turned away was so far from fine dining that I can’t believe this owner makes money. The women who told us we would not be dining there tonight was so rude and not to mention barley understandable as she mumbled I didn’t know if it was because we were a hay couple or why we were being turned away. It took a guess telling us they were there for a private party for us to understand because when I approached staff down stairs they didn’t even know what or why we would have been turned away. What a joke!!

Overpriced and the potatoes were cold, don't know how they sale whatever the vegetables were.

Chris cook throws usually amazing events, but the fire throwing and dancing was inside, that concerned me. The fetish play was in a bedroom type of place, very uncomfortable. Too much going on. Thing I enjoyed was the atmosphere, DJ was on point with music. Really it was too overcrowded, too small for the body count. Had to approach bar to get a drink even though there was service.

We had a wonderful time on a Saturday night. We were surprised that we could get a reservation and were equally surprise how great a time we had. The pianist/singer was outstanding, food was great and the staff was attentive and nice....we both got a hug as we were leaving; how much better could it be! Do yourself a favor and head hear for dinner and drinks!

Excellent food. The piano player Nancy is extremely talented. Ms Janice is an awesome host. I recommend Billy's Place to anyone who comes to or lives in Savannah. Truely is the best piano music in Savannah on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night.

Was in Savannah for a reunion with girlfriends when we accidentally found this amazing place. The entire evening was awesome. Our server, Zanea , was great and a very talented singer! We loved the music and entertainment provided by Nancy Witt. This will definitely be a repeat destination for us in the future as the entire evening was one of our favorites of our many travels and evenings out. Thanks!

Great place to party

This fine dining experience is at the heart of Savannah in every sense of the word. How lucky I was to find this hidden gem as it's truly a gift to the locals, tourists and patrons of all ages. The atmosphere comfortably rocks with the lovely & talented pianist and each staff member so proudly reflects the pride of all that this restaurant represents. Absolutely A+ phenomenal & the chef is a gifted culinary artist.

Friendly and a great bar

We stumbled across Billy's on our way to the Savannah Theatre. I am so glad we did. Our waitress, Zseanae, was amazing. She helped us choose great cocktails, and she was just wonderful all around. We felt like family by the time we left, and we will definitely be going back next time we are in Savannah.

This place is so nice and intimate. We had my aunts 80th birthday party here. The manager and her team was outstanding from the beginning to the end. I will travel back again the food was so delicious.

My family loved the ambience here...live piano music and a quiet, private, ambience. The staff was so friendly, and most of the clientele seemed local. Janae, our waitress, was particularly kind to our son, and the manager came out to give us hugs as we left. 🤗 The mahi, crab cakes, and squash soup were all delicious. A great date restaurant.

We called Billy's Place to request a carry out order for my brother who Is spending his last days in Savannah Hospice. He reminisces about starting his evening at Billy's Place and finishing at the symphony. Janice was SO accommodating as well as the rest of the staff. I can't tell you how much this pleased our family and surprised our brother. The food was fantastic and the only thing that could have made this more enjoyable would be to have the entire staff there with us. Thank you for making special memories for us all.
